Valérie CHARDON
Violin
Valérie Chardon, born in Grenoble, began learning to play the violin at the age of 6 at the city's regional music conservatory. Having achieved a baccalauréat in literature, she went on to study modern literature at university.
After obtaining several diplomas in higher music classes, notably the DEM, and a DEUG in modern literature, she moved to Oxford, England, to perfect her skills in the violin class of Katò Havas
There, she took part in numerous orchestral concerts and gave recitals.
Valérie then moved to Switzerland, where she obtained a teaching diploma in violin and developed a parallel orchestral activity, in the Lausanne region and with the Bienne symphony orchestra.
She now performs in concerts with various ensembles.
For several years, Valérie has been a teacher at several music schools in the Pays de Gex area, and also teaches musical training and chamber music.
She has also taught at the Lycée Français de Genève and worked as a music teacher in local elementary schools.
Valérie currently directs the Evasion string orchestra, which performs several times a year, at the time of the Fête de la Musique, or in concert, notably at the Esplanade du Lac in Divonne.
