Alonzo Cárdenas is a Mexican guitarist and lutist. He studied guitar with Vladimir Ibarra and Sergio Valdeos and early music in Guanajuato (Mexico), Munich (Germany) and Geneva with Monica Pustilnik. In 2014, uniting his two passions, he founded La Guitarra de Babel, a project that will accompany him on his travels. Participating in numerous projects and festivals in Mexico and Europe, he has notably been part of the Helicona orchestra and the Festival Internacional Cervantino de Guanajuato. Currently, his artistic work revolves around the dissemination of Latin American musical culture and improvisation in the languages of Baroque music.
