Jocelyn ERARD
Saxophone
Jocelyn began playing the saxophone at the age of 6 at the Pontarlier conservatory, then at the Besançon conservatory with Cécile Dubois, where he obtained his DEM (diploma of musical studies) in 2018, followed by a Bachelor's degree in musicology, specializing in performance, music and the arts. He continues under the tutelage of Joshua Hyde in a Bachelor's degree at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, which he obtains in 2023, before entering the Master's program in pedagogy. It was here that he had the opportunity to perfect his skills in many areas, such as contemporary music and chamber music, and to learn about many others, such as jazz and contemporary music. Jocelyn has had the opportunity to participate in numerous projects and to play in a wide range of ensembles, including orchestras, saxophone ensembles (Geneva Consort) and chamber music ensembles (Trio vallée, Quatuor Amapola). In November 2022, he also had the opportunity to distinguish himself as a soloist with the Pontarlier brass band.
