Depending on the number of places available, students can begin learning an instrument or take individual singing lessons, in parallel with the first year of musical training. Others prefer to wait until they have made their choice, following detailed presentations of all the instruments during this group course.

Throughout the school year, the MMD calendar is punctuated by auditions organised by all of our instrument and voice teachers. The students are not subject to an end of year exam, and can meet with friends and family for these particularly convivial gatherings.

During this class where the student is face to face with the teacher, the versatility of teaching the different styles develops, in the student, a musical curiosity which will encourage him/her to try out the different workshops, groups and orchestras of the school. The length of the individual weekly lesson varies according to the instrument, the age of the student and his or her ability to concentrate and assimilate.
